Paintings > Liminal Series

This series is my processing of the recent pandemic time... where in our isolation we found ourselves contemplating the liminal state between interior and exterior selves. The window is a metaphor for our longing, flood of memories, and nostalgia. I've been thinking too about the way we as contemporary and digitally attached humans romanticize Nature even as we are responsible for increasing environmental crises. These paintings... the figures, architecture and landscapes are all invented through a strong lense of personal memory ... which I hope has a universal appeal.
