Throughout my career as an artist my work has been inspired by a sense of wonder for the natural world and an exploration of the interplay between humans and animals and the innate wildness we share beneath our tamer exteriors. The Osa Peninsula Rainforest which I visited in 1999 and in 2015, embodies all the magical elements of the natural world ... from the poetry of a butterfly's wing to the fierce howl of the monkeys, the shocking colors of a poison dart frog and the stealth of a jaguar ... and all of this abundant life swirls under the primordial lush canopy of the forest's vines and orchids. This truly is our paradise on earth .. full of drama and magnificent beauty.
